We made it into the newspaper!
We made it into the newspaper! 📰
What a wonderful recognition of our work: Furaha Phönix Kinderhaus was the subject of a major article in the Kreiszeitung Wochenblatt, a regional newspaper from Lower Saxony. ❤️
The article reports on how we have been involved in Kenya for 20 years now and how we have put our heart and soul into creating a home for orphans and street children in Mombasa. Today, our children's home offers protection, education and prospects to almost 50 boys - and even during the pandemic, we were able to continue our mission thanks to strong support.
We were particularly pleased that our new Foodpoint was also presented. This food point provides regular hot meals to the poorest people in the region - a project that literally provides “food for body and soul”.
The article also reports on our ambitions for the coming years:
✨ The expansion of the children's home to up to 100 places
✨ The construction of a second home in Uganda
✨ And the launch of a food truck that brings mobile aid directly to the people
We are incredibly grateful that our work continues to attract the attention of a wide range of partners, media and supporters. None of this would be possible without the help of so many wonderful people. THANK YOU! 🙏
